On October 1st, deClaramunt participated in the Catalan Wines Chicago showcase held at the historic Drake Hotel, an event organized by ACCIÓ Catalonia Trade & Investment. The tasting brought together importers, distributors, and professionals from across the U.S. wine industry to explore the diversity and craftsmanship of Catalan wines.
This edition marked an important milestone for us — it was deClaramunt’s first public event since our rebranding from Vins Claramunt. Representing the brand, we presented our original line of wines: the Reserva, White Grenache, and Red Grenache. It was also the first time our newly designed brand materials were showcased in person, reflecting the refreshed identity that bridges tradition with modern elegance.
While the event drew strong participation from the trade community, it also reflected the changing dynamics of the U.S. wine market. Many distributors expressed that they are currently not bringing in new wines, as portfolios across the country are increasingly saturated. Instead of pushing for placements, we focused on listening and understanding what professionals are seeking and how their needs are evolving.
At deClaramunt, we view these moments not as setbacks, but as valuable opportunities to adapt and refine our approach. Each conversation provided insight into how we can communicate our story more effectively and continue positioning our wines as crafted, honest expressions of place and people.
As we continue our gradual expansion across the United States, events like Catalan Wines Chicago help us strengthen our foundation and guide our next marketing actions with clarity and purpose.
